We’re working with a well-established technology business to find an experienced AV Technical Design Lead to join their Solutions Engineering team. This is a senior individual contributor role with supervisory responsibility, sitting at the heart of how AV and video collaboration solutions are designed, governed and delivered for enterprise customers.
The Role
You’ll act as the technical authority on customer AV projects from initial concept right through to commissioning and handover. That means owning the design process end-to-end — reviewing site surveys, validating room standards, producing AutoCAD drawing sets, signing off BOMs, and working closely with deployment and programming teams to make sure everything lands correctly on-site.
This is a customer-facing role and you’ll be the go-to technical point of contact throughout implementation, attending regular stakeholder meetings and ensuring projects stay aligned with each client’s AV standards and SLAs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing full technical oversight of projects from conception through to completion
- Reviewing and interpreting site survey information to determine appropriate room standards
- Generating and updating AV drawing sets using AutoCAD
- Reviewing and validating Bills of Materials for technical accuracy
- Supporting hardware procurement and RFQ processes
- Acting as the AV technical point of contact for customers during design and implementation
- Collaborating with onsite deployment and programming teams
- Managing project tracking via Smartsheet alongside US Operations and PMO teams
- Producing and reviewing technical documentation and customer-facing reports
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an AV engineering or project engineering role
- CTS, CTS-D or equivalent AV industry certification
- Strong knowledge of Video Conferencing and AV system design
- Hands-on experience with platforms including Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure and AMX
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for AV drawing production
- Understanding of IT network infrastructure and enterprise AV environments
- Oil and gas industry experience is a plus
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel and flexibility on working hours
- Full clean US driving licence, valid US work authorisation and clean background check required
The Package
- Medical, dental, vision, accident and life insurance
- 15 days PTO
- 7 paid holidays
- $50 monthly mobile allowance
- Remote-first role with occasional travel
